  31. My sugestions for graphics chips are:
  32. - NV1 > It (probably) will be standard PC stuff. 
  33. - M2 > It a PPC chip, it was designed by R.J. Mical and will be usable with 
  34.        a TV - they would have to convince PANASONIC... 
  35. - Ultra64 CPU > It has a MIPS RISC cpu, which gives the possibility of 
  36. running all SGI programs (with luck!), it has a DSP built-in.

  38. All make 3D graphics faster and better. Put them in a PCI card as well.

  40. Sound:
  41. - Yamaha chip set > like the one they use in their cheap PC DB50 XG card.
  42. It has:
  43. o 32 voices
  44. o 16-bit sound
  45. o General Midi and Yamaha XG support
  46. o DSP

  48. Interfaces:
  49. - Composite/S-Video out : ESSENCIAL!!!
  50. - E-IDE/SCSI II-III : E-IDE is fast and cheap :)
  51. - Ethernet : for network rendering, etc...
  52. - Midi ports : cheap & useful
  53. - Stereo sound in/out : useful for DTV people.
