- I want AT to give AmigaOS multiple processor (CPU) support.
- A good high-end computer would be:
-
- My sugestions for graphics chips are:
- - NV1 > It (probably) will be standard PC stuff.
- - M2 > It a PPC chip, it was designed by R.J. Mical and will be usable with
- a TV - they would have to convince PANASONIC...
- - Ultra64 CPU > It has a MIPS RISC cpu, which gives the possibility of

- All make 3D graphics faster and better. Put them in a PCI card as well.

- Sound:
- - Yamaha chip set > like the one they use in their cheap PC DB50 XG card.
- It has:
- o 32 voices
- o 16-bit sound
- o General Midi and Yamaha XG support
- o DSP
-
- Interfaces:
- - Composite/S-Video out : ESSENCIAL!!!
- - E-IDE/SCSI II-III : E-IDE is fast and cheap :)
- - Ethernet : for network rendering, etc...
- - Midi ports : cheap & useful
- - Stereo sound in/out : useful for DTV people.
-
- * Give it a 1GB E-IDE ST1080A Seagate HD - cheap!
- * Give it a speedy PPC or HP Risc.
- * Give it standard SIMM slots which haven't to be single-sided.
-
- The low end computers would have 1 cpu, the others would have several of
- them.
-
- If they really want to develop their own chip set give it to someone like S3
- to develop, i think they wouldn't dislike to have Hombre...
-
- Say your own choices!!!
